Shetland Pony Breed Show (August 28, 2009)
For the first time ever the annual national Shetland Pony Breed Show was held in the Shetland. Visitors came from all over the world to visit the native home of the Shetland Pony. The croft had a large number of visitor's as part of the Pony Show events, both to visit our Hildasay Stud and experience the croft trail .
Our 4 year old stallion Hildasay Murphy achieved a Silver Award at the Stallion Assessments on Saturday 15th of August.
We also attended the pony show on Saturday 22nd where we showed our mares Gunhild with her filly foal Quest and Minty with her filly foal Queenie along with our 2 yr old filly Olna which resulted in us coming home with awards of a third, a fourth and a fifth, which in an national show we were very happy with.
